Lori Lawrence, Certified Biological Dental Hygienist, opened the doors to "Smile Sensations Centre for Whole Health " 14 years ago-a rewarding change after working in the traditional dental settings for 18 years. I have the freedom to practice Dental Hygiene the way I was trained. The clients that have sought out my services have come because they truly appreciate "Quality Care". By allowing much

more time for dental hygiene appointments we develop a trusting relationship with each other. It also allows me to take the time to get to know my clients' individual wants and needs. The critical role oral health plays in overall health and wellness is becoming better understood. Our role as dental professionals is changing from managers of specific local conditions such as gum disease, to helping our clients understand the "whole body" connection of oral health in disease prevention and provide them with the tools to help them take charge of their own health. Providing guidance through relevant research and education is a key component in my practice. Quite honestly my clients have taught me to strive to be better every day. Tonight was a very special night for Gift from the Heart. We were recognized by TMHF with a Kay Stafford Grant. The monies will be used to purchase Dental Surgery instruments. The GFTH Outreach Dental Clinic located at 12 Alice Street, Brighton, Ontario is able to provide emergency dental extractions for our community in need that suffer with dental disease. Thank you for your continued support in our mission to increase access to oral healthcare for all. LOVE THE NEW BRANDING & LOGO!!!!
