So happy to see this update on sweet Ophelia from Harmany Acres! 🐴💕
It’s wonderful to know she’s getting the care she needs and has a comfortable life ahead of her, even at over 20 years old. Lake Superior Family Dentistry was proud to support Mikey’s care (we still think of him often) and we’re glad we could help Ophelia too.
Thank you to the team at Algoma Vet and everyone at Harmany Acres for the incredible work you do for these animals. Moments like this make it all worth it.
Cheering Ophelia on! ❤️
We have news on Sweet Ophelia, we will be doing bloodwork to ensure her metabolic system is running as needed. Despite how bad she is walking, her bones look pretty good, a bit of damage as expected but definitely, with the correct foot care she will lead a much more comfortable life, her teeth have hooks and sharp points and pockets, which might take more than one treatment but, these are all the things Mikey went through and started going through years ago. Sometimes in rescue it’s a win and you get to them in time to help fix the damage, this is one of those times. Thank you again to Dr Nick, you helped to try and save Mikey , with the rest of your donation you have definitely helped to save Ophelia and her smile too! We call this a win! We have also figured out that this sweet girl is over 20 and will live out the rest of her years in sweet comfort . 💕 Huge shout out to Algoma vet in Echo Bay and Dr. Keith and Dr. Megan, for not only accepting all these wee souls without question but giving them a better quality of life!
