BACK TO SCHOOL TIME - HERE'S A LIFE LESSON TO TEACH YOUR YOUNG CHILDREN!

Wondering when to start your child’s flossing journey? As soon as two teeth make contact, it’s time for them to start flossing. Typically around ages 2 to 3, but it can vary. If your child is brushing tolerably and hasn’t yet hit the two-tooth touchpoint, introducing floss early on helps them ease into this essential oral care habit. https://www.saskatoondentalgroup.com/how-to-floss-your-childrens-teeth/

Q: How often should I be coming in for a cleaning and checkup?

Most patients benefit from visiting us every six months, though some may need to come in more frequently depending on their oral health. Patients with a history of gum disease, higher cavity risk, or certain medical conditions may be recommended on a three or four month schedule. The best interval for you is something Dr. Sammak and our hygiene team will assess based on your individual needs, not a one-size-fits-all answer.

IT'S THAT TIME .......

The back-to-school season is right around the corner, and a dental checkup is one of the easiest things to check off the list before the rush hits. Our team loves working with kids and is focused on making every visit a positive one, because good experiences at the dentist early in life make a real difference. Book your child's appointment before September fills up.

TOP TOOTH TIP: Rinse Before You Brush

Most people rinse with water or mouthwash after brushing, but that actually washes away the fluoride from your toothpaste before it has a chance to do its job. Try rinsing with water before you brush instead, and after brushing simply spit out the excess toothpaste without rinsing. It's a small habit change that makes your brushing routine noticeably more effective.

August 6 is National Fresh Breath Day, and we're going to be honest with you...

Bad breath is usually a sign of something worth paying attention to. It can point to buildup, gum issues, dry mouth, or simply a cleaning that's overdue. The good news is it's one of the most fixable things we deal with. If your last cleaning was more than six months ago, book in and let us take care of it. Your coworkers will thank you.
