We haven’t posted in a long time! Going to try to share some cases we’ve done over the last while. This case took almost 2 years to complete.
Started with upper full mouth clearance, to bi-lateral sinus lifts and grafts. Oral Surgeon placed 6 max Straumann implants along with healing abutments. Patient wore removable CUD during this time. Once implants were properly integrated, 6 SRA abutments were placed and a temporary milled fixed prosthesis was fabricated. Patient wore for 6 months while we monitored his function. Upper Fusion bar with milled zirconia was then fabricated for the final prosthesis. Trios IOS done to start fabrication on this lady’s fixed lower temporary. Scan bodies used for Straumann SRA abutments. Printed try-in along with try-in jig for lower arch next appointment to verify bite and scan accuracy. Milled lower temporary to then be inserted using bonded Ti-bases.

New CUD/CLD with 2 locators for this lady. Changed her old worn zest abutments to new carbon abutements by Medentika from Abutement direct. CLD now engages much better. Milled Candulor TCR teeth and Argen bases used.

Happy Patient today inserting a new Upper fixed zirconia on 6 Straumann BLX SLActive implants/SRA abutments. We also inserted a lower fixed hybrid reset of this patients existing lower. Long journey for some of these patients but definitely worth the wait! We used a mix of analogue and digital workflows to achieve the best outcome for this case.
