We are writing today to share with you, our community of patients, doctors, and staff, what we are doing at Kirshen Dental in the midst of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat. Your care and safety are our main concern as we continue to deliver essential dental services in the midst of (COVID-19).
In order to ensure the safety of all staff and patients, here are some of the preventative measures we are taking at Kirshen Dental:
β’ All staff dentists, dental assistants, business staff, patients and guests will be required to sanitize their hands upon entering our facility, prior to any appointments;
β’ All staff dentists, dental assistants, business staff and patients will be screened daily regarding their recent contacts;
β’ Furniture and surfaces are, and will continue to be, cleaned and sanitized regularly;
β’ Anyone that has been exposed recently to someone from an affected area or that does not feel well, or has a common cold or flu like symptoms is asked to refrain from coming to the office until symptoms have cleared. Please follow the advice of your health care provider or Public Health recommendations regarding your specific condition;
β’ All treatment surfaces, diagnostic equipment, furniture, other equipment and bathroom facilities will continue to be cleaned and sanitized regularity with an antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-tubercular product;
β’ The most effective preventive measure we can all take is to practice proper hand hygiene. We provide hand-sanitizers at all points of entry, on all tables, offices and sitting areas; and,
β’ All clinical staff will practice strict barrier techniques as we have always done.
Our policies and procedures for maintaining a clean environment for Out-of-Hospital Premises (OHP) meet and exceed those recommended by the Ministry of Health, Alberta Dental Association and College, College of Physicians and Surgeons, World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and Ontario Dental Association
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and patience as we continue to work our way through this outbreak and meet the challenges together with a commitment to keeping our community safe.
Dr. Dustin Kirshen, B.Sc., D.D.S.
