FAQ: Can an electric toothbrush help if you have arthritis or sore hands?

Absolutely! 😁

If gripping a regular toothbrush is uncomfortable, an electric toothbrush may make your daily routine a little easier.

✨ A larger handle can be easier to hold.
✨ The rotating or vibrating bristles do much of the brushing work.
✨ Less wrist and hand movement may mean more comfortable brushing.

September is Arthritis Awareness Month!

If arthritis affects your hands, wrists or fingers, something as simple as brushing and flossing can sometimes become uncomfortable or difficult.

A few things that may make your daily routine easier:

🪥 Try an electric toothbrush to reduce the amount of hand movement needed.
🪥 Look for a toothbrush with a larger, comfortable grip.
🦷 Consider floss holders or interdental brushes if traditional floss is difficult to manage.
⏰ Take your time and choose a time of day when your hands feel less stiff.
