Exciting news for all our amazing patients.
The Ontario government announced yesterday a proposal for Dental Hygienists to have a broader scope or practice which would allow Independent Dental Hygienists like our office to own, operate, prescribe, take and diagnose xrays. This would allow xrays to be taken at the clinic. We need all the support we can get from our amazing patients to help push this forward
If you can take a minute to comment on the government's page supporting this change that would be amazing. See link below.
How amazing will it be to have xrays when they are needed to asses bone levels and possible decay without the need to attend another office.
Further to yesterday’s announcement from government of Ontario, your feedback is requested commenting on the following questions:
Do you support dental hygienists ordering X-rays?
Should there be restrictions on a dental hygienist ordering X-rays? If so, what are they?
Do you support dental hygienists being designated as radiation protection officers?
Do you support dental hygienists administering local anesthetic by injection? Should there be restrictions, and if so, what are they?
Any additional feedback to provide.
