A Heartfelt Farewell After 28 Wonderful Years
After twenty-eight incredibly rewarding years in dentistry, and with mixed emotions, I have made the decision to retire at the end of 2026.
It is hard to put into words what this profession—and the people who have shared this journey with me—have meant. From my very first day in practice to today, I have been privileged to care for generations of patients, share in their milestones, earn their trust, and build relationships that have extended far beyond the dental chair. Thank you to every patient who trusted me with your care and allowed me to be part of your lives. It has truly been an honour.
I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my business partner, Dr. Marc Deschamps. Thank you for your friendship, partnership, encouragement, and for all the years of navigating the challenges and celebrating the successes together. I could not have asked for a better person with whom to share this journey.
To our incredible office manager, Mary Hlacar, thank you for the countless ways you have supported me and our practice. Your dedication, loyalty, organization, and care have been an essential part of our success.
And to my work family—past and present—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Dentistry is never a one-person profession, and I have been extraordinarily fortunate to work alongside such talented, compassionate, hardworking people. The laughter, the busy days, the challenges, the celebrations, and all the little moments in between have created memories I will cherish forever.
It will be my pleasure to continue to care for your dental needs until December 23, 2026, after which, Dr. McDonagh, who has been with our team since 2024, and her classmate at Western University, Dr. Lee, who will be joining us in January, will gladly take good care of you and your dental needs.
Thank you for allowing me to be your dentist, colleague, partner, and friend. It has been an incredible privilege and one of the greatest joys of my life. I will miss you all.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr. Suzanne Baillie, BSc., BEd., DDS Retiring after 28 wonderful years
