In honour of national dental hygienist week we would like to highlight our hygienist Elissa Garland

Elissa grew up here Ottawa, Ontario. She attended at Algonquin College where she graduated from Dental Hygiene with her Diploma. Elissa is a registered dental hygienist here at Highbury Park Dental

Elissa truly loves her work in dentistry and cares for every patient that she treats. She finds her work especially rewarding when she can make people with previous negative memories of dentistry feel relaxed and happy with her 15 years experience. Working in Kanata and now serving the barrhaven community.She takes patient education and preventative care very seriously. She stays up on all the continuing education to proved her patient with the latest and update treatment for her patients. She always informs her patients on what is being done to make sure our patients more comfortable and in control during their appointment. You will always her laugher coming from her room.

In her spare time, Elissa enjoys spending time with her family and friend, reading, baking, and hiking in Ottawa beautiful nature.

National Hygienists Week !!!

The month of April is Oral Health Month and an important part of this celebration is National Dental Hygienists Week™, celebrated annually April 4-10. Focusing on the importance of maintaining good oral health practices and helping Canadians understand the role and importance of the dental hygiene profession, this annual event is sponsored by the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA). The week's theme, "Oral Health for Total Health" reminds all of us that taking care of our mouth, teeth and gums positively impacts on other aspects of our lives.🦷🪥

Dr. Suela Murataj

Dr. Murataj graduated from Dental Medicine University of Albania in 2010. Dr. Murataj practices general dentistry with a holistic approach in a family dental practice that focuses primarily on restorative and implant dentistry, esthetics, ortho, fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontal and oral surgery. While Dr. Murataj enjoys all aspects of general family dentistry, she has a keen interest in the treatment and management of temporomandibular disorders, utilizing appliance therapy and Botox injections. Dr.Murataj is accepting new patient
