This is the Hebrew letter “Chai” and it represents life. A dear patient of mine hand cut it out of maple. He started making these works of art during an extremely challenging time, as a symbol of his desire to live and his will to go on. It is my honour to have received one as a gift, and serves as a great reminder that we have so much to celebrate in this beautiful life.

This is the new normal. We are doing everything in our power to ensure we come back safer and stronger than ever, when the time comes. This is just some of the additional PPE we will be implementing, plus surgical caps (and of course gloves, as always). Here are some other changes you can expect:
A Covid-19 symptoms and/or exposure screening phone call the morning of your appointment
A small, focused team working on only one patient at a time, with a pared-down waiting area and very little traffic in the office
Electronic forms emailed to you to minimize handling of pens, etc.
An extra-oral HEPA filtration system to reduce microfine airborne particles produced by dental treatment
It’s a lot to adapt to and we are learning as we go, just like all of you. We are committed to your health and hope you are all hanging in there 🤗

So excited to introduce CariVu to our cavity-detection tool box! Using light-wave technology and no radiation, CariVu works alongside traditional x-rays to render a 3D image of the exact location and size of a cavity or fracture. Big thumbs-up to everything that helps our interventions be more specific AND more conservative.
