Gums that bleed when you brush are common, but they’re not normal. It’s often an early sign of gum inflammation, and at that stage it can often improve with gentle brushing and daily cleaning between your teeth.

If it keeps happening, mention it at your next visit or give us a call.

“Is CDCP free?” It depends. Based on your family income, the Canadian Dental Care Plan may cover all or part of the cost of covered services, and some services aren’t covered.

We accept CDCP and bill it directly. Call us and we’ll help you understand your coverage.

How long do you really brush? Two minutes is the goal, and it’s longer than it feels. Try splitting your mouth into four parts and giving each one 30 seconds. A soft brush and gentle pressure are all you need.

Call us as early in the day as you can if you have a toothache that won't settle, swelling in your gum or face, a broken or knocked-out tooth, or a lost filling or crown.
