While you may think that vigorously brushing your teeth helps to keep them cleaner and prevent cavities, there is such a thing as too much effort.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Signs you're brushing too hard:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Receeding gums
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Frayed toothbrush
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Bleeding gums
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Tooth sensitivity
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Teeth begin to look dull
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Enamel begins to wear away
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Using a soft or even extra soft toothbrush can do just as an effective a job at cleaning your teeth, and is less likely to damage your enamel.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have any of the signs listed above, it might be time to make a check-up appointment. We can advise you on the health of your teeth and gums, offer solutions and teach you safer brushing techniques.

Last March 2020, we were faced with having to halt in-office dental care due to the rapidly emerging threat of the coronavirus. That day began the start of this that has permeated every aspect of our lives and it seemed that every week brought another hurdle to clear.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fortunately, dentistry is edept at employing safety control measures, as our profession's guidelines are very strict. So, while we worked hard to continue to provide patient care through tele-dentistry, we were able to update our safety measures to comply with new mandates quickly while patiently awaiting re-opening!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We want to acknowledge the tremendous commitment and patience of our staff and patients in navigating this last year during the many challenges and uncertainties brought about the pandemic. The flexibility and resilience they have demonstrated has helped meet the challenges that came our way and allowed us to build on our strengths to enhance and support our goal of ensuring patient safety and access to care.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
, we will continue to move forward and adapt to the demands of the day in support of and one another.

Thank you. 😊

If you wait too long in between visits, your gums will be more sensitive to touch and debris has more time to build up above and especially below the gum line - meaning there's more work to do, and the build up is harder to reach.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Cut back on caffeine, to***co and alcohol, which can cause dehydration.
