We do a lot more than just shoe lift modifications! A patient recently brought in these new Birkenstocks to resolve a specific comfort issue.

On her right foot, her toe was rubbing uncomfortably against the raised outer edge of the footbed. We had previously modified an older pair for her by cutting down the edge just at the friction point. Because that small adjustment made her previous sandals comfortable to wear, she brought her new pair in to have the same modification done before breaking them in.

Pedorthic adjustments don’t always have to be major - sometimes a minor tweak to the footwear itself is all it takes to prevent a bigger issue!
