When dental trauma strikes, every second counts. Did you know that the first 5 minutes after a tooth is knocked out can determine whether it survives or requires extraction? ⏱️

Our emergency dentists in Oakville see countless cases where quick, proper action saved natural teeth. Whether it happens during sports, accidents, or everyday activities, knowing what to do immediately can make all the difference.

Quick Tips for a Dental Emergency:
1️⃣ Stay Calm & Assess: Check for other injuries and locate the tooth immediately.
2️⃣ Handle the Tooth Correctly: Pick it up by the crown, rinse gently with water, never scrub the root.
3️⃣ Reimplant if Possible: Place the tooth back in its socket carefully or store it properly if not.
4️⃣ Proper Storage: Milk is the gold standard, saliva or saline if milk isn’t available. Never use tap water, tissues, or ice.
