🚨Bonding braces requires one very important thing: DRY TEETH🚨

And while we can’t exactly ask the saliva to take the day off, Dr. Zimmerman has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Enter the cheek & lip retractor + tongue basket + suction: the ultimate dream team for keeping cheeks, lips, tongues AND saliva out of the way while bonding brackets.

Because apparently, brackets and moisture are NOT besties 💦👎🏼

And because Dr. Zimmerman likes to work smarter, not wetter … he also uses a digital bonding tray!

Instead of bonding each bracket one at a time, the digital tray allows him to apply all of the upper brackets at once, and all of the lower brackets at once, helping make the bonding process more efficient and reducing the amount of time you have to spend in the chair 🙌

So yes, he may be working inside a tiny pool of saliva … but with the right tools + a little orthodontic technology, he’s doing everything possible to keep things dry, precise and efficient.
