🦷 Healthy Smiles Start Early — A Parent’s Quick-Reference Guide 🦷

Got questions about your child’s oral health? We’ve rounded up answers to the questions parents ask us most:

🌙 Nighttime feeding & cavities — why bedtime brushing matters most
🍬 Protecting teeth from sweets — it’s all about timing
😅 Brushing restless kids — the “2-minute rule” beats brushing harder
💧 Fluoride safety — why a pea-sized amount is the sweet spot

This one’s worth keeping handy — save this post so you can come back to it whenever you need a reminder! 📌

Got a question we didn’t cover? Drop it in the comments — we’d love to help. 👇

Worried about fluoride and little ones who swallow toothpaste? You’re not alone — and the science says fluoride is both safe and one of the best tools we have to strengthen enamel and prevent decay. 🛡️🦷

The key is dosage: no more than just a pea-sized amount for kids is enough to protect without the risk. Supervise brushing, and you’re all set!

Brushing a wiggly toddler can feel like a wrestling match 😅 — but here’s the good news: it’s more about TIME than pressure. Aim for at least 2 minutes, twice a day, covering every surface (don’t forget the tongue!).

Try a fun timer, a favorite song, or a ‘brushing buddy’ to make it easier. And remember — only a pea-sized amount of toothpaste is needed. Less really is more!

Sweets aren’t the enemy — timing is everything! 🍓🍫 When your child eats something sugary, brushing soon after helps clear away the residue before bacteria turn it into acid that attacks enamel.

Build a simple routine: brush twice a day, floss daily, and try to brush (or at least rinse with water) after treat time. Small habits = big protection for those growing smiles. 🦷✨

Does your little one fall asleep with a bottle? 🍼😴 Here’s why that matters: saliva production drops during sleep, so it can’t wash away sugars the way it does during the day. That means milk or juice sitting on baby teeth overnight = higher cavity risk.

The fix is simple: a quick brush after the last feed before bed makes a huge difference. Tag a parent who needs this reminder! 👇
