Brushing your teeth is important… but timing matters just as much 🪥⏱️

There are a few moments when brushing straight away can actually do more harm than good:

After vomiting 🤢
Stomach acid is extremely strong and softens your enamel. Brushing right away can scrub that weakened enamel away, leading to long-term damage.

After acidic drinks 🍊🥤
Whether it’s soft drink, sports drinks, or citrus juices, acids temporarily weaken your enamel. Brushing immediately can speed up erosion instead of protecting your teeth.

Right after eating 🍽️
Especially if your meal includes acidic foods, your enamel needs time to recover. Jumping in with a toothbrush too soon can wear it down.

The better move? Wait about 30–60 minutes, let your saliva neutralise the acids, and then brush safely ✅
