🦷 An important reminder for our patients with Social Development dental coverage:
As of October 1, 2026, changes to this coverage mean you need to apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) to continue receiving dental benefits through Social Development.
Once approved, you will receive a CDCP card from Sun Life. You will also receive a separate dental benefits card from Medavie Blue Cross—please check your mail, as it may have already arrived.
You will need both cards for your dental appointment. If you have an appointment coming up and are still waiting for your cards, please call our office so we can check your coverage before you come in. Your appointment may need to be postponed until your coverage is in place.
If you haven’t applied yet, please do so as soon as possible to help avoid a gap in your coverage. Remember that CDCP coverage needs to be renewed every year.
