📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Changes to Social Development Dental Coverage

As of October 1, 2026, New Brunswick residents who receive dental coverage through Social Development are required to apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) in order to continue receiving dental coverage through Social Development.

What you need to know:

🦷 Apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Please note that the CDCP must be renewed annually.

🦷 Once approved, you will receive your CDCP card from Sun Life.

🦷 Health Services will also issue a card through Blue Cross. You may have already received this card, so please check your mail.

🦷 You will need BOTH your CDCP (Sun Life) card and Blue Cross card to be eligible for dental services under this coverage.

🦷 If you have an upcoming appointment and have not yet received both cards, your appointment may need to be postponed until your coverage is in place.

For more information or to apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, visit Canada.ca/dental or call 1-833-537-4342. You may also contact your Social Development case worker for assistance.

If you are affected by these changes and have not yet completed the process, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to help avoid interruptions to your dental coverage. 🦷

This week, members of our team participated in Basic Life Support (BLS) & Oxygen (O₂) Emergency Training, strengthening the skills needed to respond confidently in emergency situations.

Continuing education goes beyond dentistry. Regular emergency preparedness training helps ensure our teams are equipped to provide a safe environment for every patient who walks through our doors.
