Here is a young lady I saw today for her first check up appointment. She had some tooth straightening done, but had no idea that the unusual shape of her front teeth could easily be changed. In 5 minutes with no freezing and for about $ 40.00, I reshaped the teeth for a more normal appearance, using just a high speed diamond abrasive followed by some polishing.

This young man was unhappy with the spaces between his teeth, and the shape of his front teeth. In two 2 hour appointments, finishing on April 9, I addressed both problems with direct composite bonding. I was very capably assisted by the energetic and enthusiastic Kristy

I have actually worked here part time since December. August 2 was my last day at the Barrie office.
The picture is of me and my fellow dentists at the clinic, Dr. Bartosiak and Dr Cristina Balthazar.

Here is a young lady that I saw today. She was unhappy with the spaces between her teeth. It took about two hours to complete composite bonding to close the gaps for her.

Here is a nice lady i saw today who still has two "baby teeth". They should have exfoliated when she was about 8, but she had no permanent teeth to replace them. As such, she still has them well into her 50s. They looked in need of some cosmetic improvement. In about an hour and a half, for less than $ 600,
I did some cosmetic bonding which made a pretty dramatic difference in her smile. I also re-contoured some of her other teeth to give her smile a more even appearance.

Here is a pretty young lady that we saw in the office this week. She was dissatisfied with the alignment of her upper central incisor teeth, but unwilling to undergo 4 years of orthodontics and the cost that would entail. In the space of one hour we were able via tooth re -contouring and cosmetic composite bonding, to create a more appealing smile for her. The after picture was taken right after the procedure, so her lip was still a bit droopy from the anesthetic, but I think the difference is quite apparent.

This is an older case of a gentleman whose front teeth needed a little help. This came in the form of four porcelain fused to gold crowns, and resulted in a much more attractive smile. With Porcelain fused to gold, there is a gold crown constructed, and then porcelain is fused to the gold substructure. The porcelain gives it the aesthetic beauty and the gold gives it strength.
Many practitioners nowadays use full porcelain crowns without the gold substructure. This usually works reasonably well in the front of the mouth. In the back, where biting pressures are greater, the number of failures increases dramatically.
I feel that this is a major flaw in cad cam systems like Cerec, where the only option is pure porcelain.

Here is a lovely lady who had two central incisors with very old discoloured acrylic restorations, and two lateral incisors with old crowns with exposed margins. All in all, not too esthetically pleasing. The solution was four porcelain crowns. With good home care, this cosmetically favorable result should last for decades.

Here is a young man who didn't like the spaces between his teeth. I normally would not have mentioned this to him, but a friend of his had seen me for some cosmetic treatment, and he specifically booked an appointment to investigate what could be done. Crowns or Porcelain veneers would have been four times the cost of the bonding and diastema closure that was done here. He may indeed get porcelain veneers some day, but this bonding will be serviceable for many years.
It's always tough to make a good looking person even more good looking. Both he and I were however, pleased with the result.
