Tongue rings and lip rings! Proven to be dangerous for oral health!!

Oral piercings can cause gum recession, which can lead to increased sensitivity and a 'long tooth' appearance. Even worse, recession can lead to loss of bone structure surrounding the tooth, which can make the teeth mobile, and lead to the teeth falling out!

Oral piercings can also cause infections requiring root canal treatment, or if severe enough, tooth loss.

These are just some of the larger issues, aside from chipped teeth, development of granulomas or 'growths' on tongue, and an increase of bacteria and buildup.
