Everyone deserves access to quality dental care—and sometimes, getting there takes a little extra understanding, patience and flexibility.

For people living with physical, developmental, cognitive or emotional conditions, daily oral care and dental visits can sometimes present unique challenges. Things like sensory sensitivities, mobility challenges, communication differences, medications or difficulty with brushing and flossing can all affect oral health.

The Canadian Dental Association has put together some wonderful resources for patients, families and caregivers, including tips for:

✨ Supporting someone with special needs at the dentist
✨ Managing sensory or communication needs
✨ Oral care for people living with dementia
✨ Adapting oral care for mobility challenges

The Thanksgiving long weekend is almost here, and before the turkey is carved, the pies are eaten, and everyone settles in for a well-deserved food coma… we thought we’d take a moment to focus on what Thanksgiving is really about. ❤️

Life can get pretty busy. Between work, family, appointments, errands, household projects, and everything else that seems to fill our days, it’s easy to forget to stop and appreciate the little things.

🦷 Don’t Ignore the Little Signs!

Sometimes our mouths give us little clues that something needs attention. 👀🦷

According to the Canadian Dental Association, signs such as:

🔹 Gums that bleed regularly when brushing or flossing
🔹 Bad breath that doesn’t go away
🔹 A loose tooth
🔹 Ongoing mouth soreness
🔹 Sores that don’t heal within 7–10 days
🔹 White or red patches in the mouth
🔹 Unexplained bleeding or numbness
🔹 New or unusual tooth sensitivity

can all be reasons to check in with your dentist.

The good news? Catching a problem early can often mean simpler treatment and a better outcome. 💙

Your mouth is pretty good at telling you when something needs attention. We just need to listen. 😉

💖 9 to 5… what a way to make a living! 🎶💖

Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the one and only Dolly Parton — a woman who gave us incredible music, unforgettable movies, big hair, bigger heart, and more rhinestones than we could ever count. ✨

This year, 9 to 5 hits a little differently. Following Dolly’s passing last month, we’re not just celebrating the song… we’re celebrating the incredible woman behind it.

Dolly reminded us to work hard, be kind, laugh often, dream big, and always be yourself. Her generosity and compassion touched countless lives, and her music will keep making us smile for generations to come.
