Big news at Carry Drive Dental! Dr. Austin Franklin is officially joining our team on August 10 — and we couldn’t be more excited!
If you’re from Medicine Hat, you might already know him. He grew up here, studied here, and has been practicing here ever since completing his DDS at the University of Alberta in 2022. Now he’s bringing his skills and community‑focused care to Carry Drive Dental!
Dr. Franklin loves working with families and is especially great with kids (having two little ones of his own definitely helps). His goal is to make dental visits positive, comfortable, and confidence‑building for every child and parent.
He’ll also be adding new services to our clinic, including laughing gas sedation and neuromodulator (Botox) therapy for clenching and grinding. Dr Franklin will be accepting new patients.

Holiday Closure Notice

Carry Drive Dental will be closed for a short summer break from Monday, July 27 and will reopen on Monday, August 10.

If you have a dental emergency or any urgent dental concerns while we're away, we're still here to help. Simply call the clinic, press 8 to reach our emergency line, and leave us a message. We'll return your call as soon as possible and make sure you're taken care of.

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Eloise! 💕 We are soaking up this special time together as a family.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the exceptional care, kindness, and support we received throughout our journey.

Thank you as well to our wonderful patients and the amazing team at Carry Drive Dental for your patience, encouragement, and support as we begin this new chapter.

While I'm on maternity leave, Dr. Labonne will continue caring for our patients alongside our wonderful team. I look forward to returning part-time in September and seeing you all again soon!
