One of those most challenging cases I've ever seen. Patient has severe class 3 occlusion(underbite). He opted to keep 1 remaining premolar on upper arch which threw off treatment plan. I made an overdenture for the upper and arranged teeth to be outside his remaining tooth, leaving a hole in the denture. Increased the vertical and set up edge to edge anteriors. Patient went from never showing his upper teeth to showing off an amazing smile.

In my experience, the biggest reason why patients with complete upper dentures fail to achieve a proper suction is because of dentures that are under extended. The sad part is that most of them have been told that they can't achieve a proper fit, but that's rarely the case.
