🦷 Your mouth is home to billions of bacteria—and that's actually normal.

Not all bacteria are harmful. A healthy mouth has a natural balance of beneficial and harmful bacteria that work together to maintain good oral health. Problems begin when harmful bacteria outnumber the beneficial ones, increasing the risk of cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

Good daily habits like brushing twice a day, flossing, staying hydrated, and visiting your dentist regularly help keep your oral environment balanced and your smile healthy.

A healthy mouth isn't bacteria-free—it's balanced.

📅 Schedule your next dental checkup with Smile Centre and keep your smile healthy for years to come.

Watch as our denturist carefully secures a new set of upper teeth onto dental implants, restoring both function and confidence. 🦷✨

This is one of the final steps in an All-on-4 dental implant procedure, where a custom set of implant-supported teeth is securely attached to strategically placed dental implants.

All-on-4 may be an option for patients with multiple missing or failing teeth who are looking for a stable alternative to traditional dentures. Because the teeth are securely supported by dental implants, many patients experience improved comfort, stability, and chewing function.

Every smile is unique, which is why every treatment begins with a comprehensive examination and a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs.

If you're living with missing or failing teeth and would like to learn more about your treatment options, our team is here to help.

🦷 Ever wonder why some people get more cavities than others?

The answer is not just sugar. Tooth decay is influenced by a combination of factors, including the bacteria in your mouth, saliva, diet, oral hygiene habits, fluoride exposure, and even genetics.

While you cannot change every risk factor, you can lower your chances of developing cavities by brushing and flossing daily, limiting frequent sugary snacks and drinks, using fluoride toothpaste, and visiting your dentist regularly.

Understanding your personal risk is the first step toward protecting your smile.

🦷 Small cavities can turn into big problems if they're ignored.

A cavity may not hurt at first, but that doesn't mean it's harmless. As decay progresses, it can reach the inner part of the tooth where the nerve is located. At that stage, more extensive treatment, such as a root canal, may be needed to save the tooth.

The good news is that early detection and treatment are often simpler, less invasive, and help preserve your natural tooth.

Regular dental checkups allow your dentist to spot cavities before they become painful or more costly to treat.

📅 Don't wait for tooth pain. Schedule your next dental exam with Smile Centre today.

One of the most common questions we hear from parents is:
"When should my child have their first dental visit?" 👶🦷

The Canadian Dental Association recommends scheduling your child's first dental visit by their first birthday or within six months after their first tooth erupts.

Early dental visits are about much more than checking teeth. They give your dental team the opportunity to:

🦷 Monitor healthy tooth and jaw development

🪥 Provide guidance on brushing and oral hygiene

🍼 Discuss feeding habits, fluoride, and oral health

😊 Help your child become familiar and comfortable with the dental office in a positive, stress-free environment

Starting dental visits early can help establish healthy habits and support your child's oral health as they grow.

If your little one is approaching their first birthday—or already has their first tooth—it's a great time to schedule their first visit.

📍Our team is here to help make every child's first dental experience a positive one.

Every smile deserves a treatment plan that's tailored to the individual.

This before-and-after highlights one patient's dental implant treatment. Dental implants may be recommended when one or more teeth are missing or when existing teeth are no longer healthy enough to be restored.

Whether teeth have been lost due to injury, decay, gum disease, or are failing over time, there may be treatment options available to help restore oral function and appearance. The most appropriate treatment depends on each patient's oral health, goals, and clinical needs.

Our team takes the time to complete a comprehensive examination and discuss all suitable treatment options before creating a personalized plan.
