Overbites, underbites, or crossbites can lead to premature tooth wear and gum tissue damage. Invisible braces can extend the life of your teeth by correcting your bite.

Brushing with a fluoride toothpaste leaves a layer of protection that continues to protect your teeth once you’re done brushing. Rinsing with water directly after brushing can wash away that protective layer. So if you’re thirsty, make sure to have a glass of water before you brush to allow the toothpaste to do its job!

Chewing sugar-free gum can help care for your teeth. It helps remove food particles from between your teeth, promotes saliva production, and reduces the acid in your mouth. So chew away – just don’t let chewing gum replace brushing and flossing!

It only takes 24-36 hours for plaque to harden into tartar. Once plaque becomes tartar, it is bonded to the tooth enamel and only a dental professional can remove it. However, flossing once a day, every day can help prevent plaque from hardening into tartar.

Maintaining a good oral health routine can help prevent pneumonia. Recent studies have found that improved oral care for seniors reduces the risk of aspiration pneumonia, which is believed to be caused by breathing bacteria into the lungs. Not only that, denture-wearers can reduce their risk by removing the denture while they sleep. So remember to brush and floss after each meal and visit us regularly!

After getting their wisdom teeth removed, most people fully recover from wisdom teeth removal in 3-4 days. In rare cases, recovery can take a week or more. While we will provide you with detailed guidelines for your particular situation, here are some general tips to help.
Try to eat soft foods like pasta, pudding, smoothies, or soup, making sure it’s not too hot. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid strenuous activity. Rinse your mouth gently with salt water as directed, and don’t start brushing your teeth until the second day. Use an ice pack on your face and take any medications as prescribed to ease pain or swelling. Try to avoid drinking through a straw and don’t eat hard, crunchy, or sticky foods. Finally, avoid smoking because it can slow healing.
Following these simple guidelines will ensure you’re taking the best care of yourself during recovery. If you have any other questions or concerns, please get in touch!
