🦷 Wondering if your wisdom teeth need to come out?

Wisdom teeth usually appear in your late teens or early twenties, and while some come in without a problem, others simply don’t have enough room.

When wisdom teeth become impacted or grow at an angle, they can lead to pain, infection or problems with the surrounding teeth.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until they hurt to have them checked.

Our team can assess your wisdom teeth and help determine whether removal is the right choice for your long-term oral health and comfort.

🪥 A Healthy Smile Starts With Prevention!

You don’t have to wait until something hurts to visit the dentist. Regular exams and cleanings can help keep your teeth and gums healthy while giving your dental team an opportunity to identify potential concerns early.

Combine regular dental visits with brushing twice a day, daily flossing and healthy habits at home to help protect your smile for years to come.

Due for your next visit? Contact South London Dental Care Centre to book your appointment. 😁

"It's just a baby tooth, it'll fall out anyway”, one of the most common (and costly) dental myths.

Baby teeth aren't just placeholders. They hold space for adult teeth and guide how they come in, so an untreated cavity in a baby tooth can cause real problems down the line.

✅ Baby teeth hold the space adult teeth need to come in straight
✅ Cavities in baby teeth can spread to the developing adult tooth underneath
✅ Losing a baby tooth too early can cause crowding or shifting later
✅ Treating it now is almost always simpler than fixing the ripple effect later

They may be temporary, but the problems they cause definitely aren't.

🍎 School is Back! Pack Some Smile-Friendly Snacks!

Busy school days call for snacks that are easy to pack and good for growing smiles. When filling those lunch bags, try reaching for:

🍎 Crunchy apples
🥕 Fresh carrots
🧀 Cheese
🥛 Unsweetened yogurt

These simple choices can help fuel busy days while being kinder to teeth than sticky or sugary snacks.

Here’s to healthy lunches, happy kids and lots of school-year smiles! 🎒😁
