Dry mouth (“xerostomia”) is a condition that happens when the salivary glands in your mouth don't produce enough saliva. It can be caused by medication, medical conditions, to***co use, alcohol consumption, or eating certain foods. Talk to us about dry mouth. A bridge is a great way to replace one or more missing teeth by literally “bridging the gap” between your remaining teeth.

Using the teeth on either side of the gap as supports, we secure a fixed bridge made up of realistic-looking artificial crowns that will need to be brushed and flossed, just like natural teeth.

When you’re in our office, you’ll probably notice dental assistants and dental hygienists working around you. What do these important people do?

The dental assistant works with the dentist while you’re in the chair. Assistants keep you comfortable and help the dentist with your treatment. They also take care of “behind the scenes” tasks such as processing X-rays and making sure the dentist has the right information.

The dental hygienist helps keep your teeth safe from decay and periodontal disease. Their main job is to clean your teeth to remove decay-causing plaque and tartar. Hygienists provide fluoride treatment and give you pointers and advice on your oral health care.

After wisdom teeth surgery, the anesthesia will wear off within 2-4 hours, and most people start to feel better after two or three days. Most patients fully recover within a week, but it can sometimes take a little longer if the wisdom teeth were impacted. Carefully following the after-surgery instructions will greatly improve your chances for a speedy recovery.
