🍂 Enjoying your favourite fall drinks? Your teeth may notice them too.

Pumpkin spice lattes and other seasonal drinks can contain more sugar than you might realize. Frequent sugary drinks can increase the risk of cavities, while acidic ingredients may also affect tooth enamel over time.

You don’t have to skip your fall favourites. A few simple habits can help: rinse with water after sugary or acidic foods and drinks, brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, floss regularly, and keep up with your dental checkups.

Looking for a dentist in Kingston, Ontario? The team at Clergy Dental Clinic is here to help you maintain a healthy smile through every season. 🦷

A professional dental cleaning helps remove plaque, tartar, surface stains, and buildup from areas that may be difficult to reach with regular brushing and flossing.

What is the difference between plaque and tartar?

Tooth Sensitivity? Here’s What It Might Be Telling You.

What causes tooth sensitivity? The most common causes are enamel wear exposing sensitive dentin, gum recession exposing tooth roots, cavities reaching inner tooth layers, cracked or damaged teeth, and teeth grinding wearing down enamel.

Don’t just avoid cold foods — find out what’s actually causing the sensitivity. 💜

✅ Enamel wear — exposes sensitive dentin underneath
✅ Gum recession — gums pull back, exposing tooth roots
✅ Cavities — decay can reach the inner layers of your tooth
✅ Cracked or damaged teeth — tiny cracks can lead to sensitivity
✅ Teeth grinding — wears down enamel and causes sensitivity

At Clergy Dental Clinic, we’ll help you get to the root of it. 😊
