Today we’re celebrating our incredible Treatment Coordinator, Meaghan, who has been a part of the KO family for 16 amazing years! Meaghan’s mornings usually start with an ice capp (though she’s not a huge coffee fan), and her go-to comfort foods are soup and anything sweet🍬

In her free time, she loves playing pickleball and spending time at the rink. Her dream vacation? Anywhere in the Mediterranean! The little things that bring her joy every day? Her boys—nothing makes her smile faster than them💙💙💙

We’re so lucky to have your energy, humor, and dedication on our team, Meaghan. Here’s to many more years of smiles, sweet treats, and all the joy you bring to KO! 🥳

We’re wishing Nicole our Treatment Coordinator & Snack Dealer Extraordinaire a very Happy Birthday! 🥪💫 She’s been with us for 2 glorious years and makes every day at KO brighter.

Outside the office, she enjoys watercolor painting, has a soft spot for sour snacks like fuzzy peaches, and has a hidden talent for keeping houseplants alive. Nicole also has a cat named Clementine, an impressive shoe collection, and loves live music and roller coasters.

Fun fact: she once held onto a friend’s shirt in a haunted house so they wouldn’t run away—true dedication!

Nicole brings warmth, laughter, and a touch of magic to everything she does at KO, making both patients and teammates feel right at home. Please wish her a Happy Birthday!🥳

🦷 How to Use Orthodontic Wax for a Poky Bracket or Wire

If your braces or appliance feel sharp or are rubbing your cheek, don’t worry — orthodontic wax can help right away!

Step 1: Wash your hands

Always start with clean hands.

Step 2: Dry the area

Use a tissue or cotton swab to gently dry the bracket or wire that’s bothering you. Wax sticks better to a dry surface.

Step 3: Take a small piece of wax

Break off a small amount (about the size of a pea) and roll it into a little ball.

Step 4: Place it over the poky spot

Gently press the wax over the bracket or wire that’s irritating your cheek or lip. Smooth the edges so it stays in place.

Step 5: Leave it on as needed

The wax is safe to wear while eating (though it may fall off). Replace it as needed throughout the day.

When to Call Us

Contact us if:

1. The discomfort continues despite using wax

2. A bracket is completely loose

3. A wire is significantly out of place

A little irritation is common after adjustments, but we’re always here to help if something doesn’t feel right.
