Dr. Dan Rootes was born May 31, 1977 and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He attended the University of British Columbia obtaining his degree in Agricultural Sciences. Dr. Rootes continued to pursue Dentistry through UBC and received his DMD in May 2006. While attending UBC he played on the Varsity Football Team, winning a National Championship in 1997 and was awarded All-Star recognit

ion. Upon graduating, Dr. Rootes decided to make the trek east to Calgary. During this time he learned the power of continuing education and how important it is to continue learning in order to serve his patients to the best of his abilities. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but is especially interested in Prosthodontics, Esthetics, Endodontics, and Family Dentistry. Recently, Dr. Rootes was awarded "Outstanding Promise as a Young Dentist" with a scholarship to attend LVI courses, selected from numerous affiliations within the dental community. Dr. Rootes is a Certified Laser Therapist, completed an externship in oral surgery at the Lincoln Medical Hospital in New York and has attended numerous other continuing education courses in the past 6 years. In 2011, Dr. Rootes and his wife Kelli moved back to BC and he has been practicing in Vernon ever since. With building a family as their number one priority, Dr. Rootes and Kelli have decided that Kelowna is the perfect place for this purpose. In his off hours, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, his dog's Jack and Penny, family, and friends. You can find him playing hockey, coaching football or on the slopes of any mountain during the winter months. In the summer; golfing, fishing, surfing or just barbequing on a patio are considered ideal pastimes in his mind. He is very excited to be joining this community and looks forward to helping all of his patients in obtaining a happy and healthy smile. Dan believes that communication is his best asset. He ensures that all of his patients are educated on their dental status and will work with them to find the right path for them to take. His extensive education prepares him for any situation that may arise. He will use communication, integrity along with a caring heart and gentle hands to make every visit as comfortable as possible.

Judi is one of the wonderful hygienists at our office. She is extremely detail-oriented and strives to take your oral care goals one step further every time.

In 2023, Judi tied the knot at a beautiful winery in Oliver, marking a joyous milestone in her life. Beyond her dedication to dental hygiene, Judi is also a plant guru and has a knack for devouring books in no time.
