The best way to handle treats is moderation. Strict rules often backfire and can end up creating unhealthy habits. Enjoy treats from time to time and floss & brush daily.

Here are some ideas to encourage children to look after their teeth:
1 - Use a timer or play a 2 minute song while brushing
2 - Teach kids how to brush & supervise brushing until age 8
3 - Introduce flossing early & make it a family affair
4 - Limit sugary snacks & drinks
5 - Have a consistent bedtime routine including flossing & brushing
6 - Have a reward for long streaks
