Menopause & Oral Health — Let’s Talk About It!

Ladies, nobody talks about this enough… but menopause doesn’t just affect your hormones—it can impact your mouth too 😩

As estrogen levels drop, you may notice:
🔹 Dry mouth (feels like you’re always thirsty)
🔹 Bleeding or sensitive gums
🔹 Bad breath that won’t go away
🔹 Increased cavities
🔹 Burning mouth sensation

Why does this happen?
Hormonal changes can reduce saliva, and saliva is what helps protect your teeth and gums from bacteria.

What you can do:
✔️ Stay hydrated (water is your best friend!)
✔️ Keep up with regular dental visits
✔️ Use alcohol-free mouthwash
✔️ Chew sugar-free gum to boost saliva
✔️ Add calcium + vitamin D to support teeth and bone health
