Meet Dr. Haissam Kanaan

Dr. Kanaan received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2005 from the University of Detroit Mercy. He then completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2010 at Wayne State University-School of Medicine/Detroit Medical Centre. Dr. Kanaan has special interest in Dental extractions, Anesthesia, Dental Implant surgery, Soft tissue and bone grafting, Facial Pain management, Facial Trauma & Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Kanaan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada and holds the specialty Licence in Ontario and Michigan. He is affiliated with multiple professional organizations and a Clinical instructor in Oral & Maxillofacial in the undergraduate and graduate departments at the University of Toronto.

Meet Dr. Shreya Gakhar

Shreya Gakhar is a board-certified endodontist. She earned her dental degree from James Cook University in Australia, where she also completed a general residency program focused on serving underserved communities across diverse regions of the country. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for endodontic care.

After several years practicing as a general dentist across North America, Dr. Gakhar pursued advanced specialty training at the renowned University at Buffalo Endodontics program.

Known for her cheerful demeanor and empathetic care philosophy, Dr. Gakhar is deeply committed to preserving natural dentition and delivering excellent patient experiences. Her focus on using the latest evidence-based methods ensures that each patient receives the most advanced and effective treatment options available.

Meet Dr. Manfred Freidman

Dr. Friedman graduated in South Africa in 1971 and emigrated to Canada some 30 years ago. He currently directs the second-year endodontic lab course at Schulich Medicine and Dentistry, as well as supervises Endodontics in the Clinic . He is in private practice three days per week and has restricted his practice to Endodontics since 1997.

Dr. Friedman just received the CY Lung award presented to a part a time instructor at Schulich. Dr. Friedman has lectured on endodontics both internationally and in Canada. He is passionate about endodontics and provides the best care he is capable of to all his patients.
