As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. That's why we focus on thorough exams - checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we're also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health. We are more than happy to work closely with your other medical health professionals to focus on your best interest. Uncompromising Safety:

Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the Onario Dental Association (ODA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay at the forefront of the changes and recommendations for our profession. A Positive Experience:

Bleeding gums when brushing or flossing may seem minor, but they can be a sign that your gums need some extra attention.

Plaque buildup along the gumline can lead to inflammation, tenderness and bleeding. If left untreated, gum inflammation can progress and affect the tissues that support your teeth.

If you’re noticing bleeding regularly, don’t ignore it. A dental exam and professional cleaning can help identify what’s causing it and what you can do to improve your gum health.

CDCP Coverage tips!

If you're covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Confirm your eligibility before booking your appointment.
• Bring your CDCP information and a piece of photo ID to your visit.
• Keep your coverage information up to date if anything changes.

Examples of services that could be covered under the CDCP when recommended by an oral health provider include:
• The CDCP covers a wide range of oral health services, including examinations, X-rays, cleanings (scaling), fluoride treatments, fillings, root canal treatment, gum disease treatment, removable dentures, oral surgery, and, in some cases, crowns, orthodontics, sedation, and other services that may require preauthorization. Coverage is based on your individual eligibility and clinical needs.
• If you're unsure what your plan covers, our team is happy to answer your questions and help you understand your benefits.

Additional charges
The CDCP fees may not be the same as what providers charge. You may have to pay fees in addition to the potential co-payment if:
the cost of your oral health care services is more than what the CDCP will reimburse for these services you and your oral health provider agree to services that the CDCP doesn’t cover

Before receiving oral health care, you should always ask your oral health provider about any costs that won’t be covered by the plan. Make sure you know what you’ll have to pay directly to your oral health provider before accepting and receiving treatment.

We're proud to welcome CDCP patients. Contact us today to book your next appointment!

Fluoride plays an important role in keeping your smile strong. It helps strengthen tooth enamel, making teeth more resistant to cavities and even helping reverse the early stages of tooth decay.

Whether it's through toothpaste, drinking water, or professional fluoride treatments, this simple mineral can make a big difference in protecting your oral health.

Coffee, Wine & Staining Tips

Love your coffee or a glass of red wine? You’re not alone, but your teeth might feel the effects.

Dark beverages can lead to surface staining over time, but a few simple habits can help:
✔️ Rinse with water after drinking
✔️ Use a straw when possible
✔️ Avoid brushing immediately after (wait ~30 minutes)
✔️ Keep up with regular cleanings

A brighter smile doesn’t mean giving up your favourites—just protecting your enamel along the way.

Proper Brushing & Flossing Techniques

Brushing and flossing might seem simple, but technique makes all the difference.

✔️ Brush twice a day for 2 minutes using gentle, circular motions
✔️ Hold your brush at a 45° angle toward the gumline
✔️ Don’t forget your tongue
✔️ Floss daily, making a “C” shape around each tooth

Good habits at home are the foundation of a healthy smile and help prevent issues like Periodontitis.

Small changes = big impact.
