Last Tuesday, our Dental Hygiene Team brought everyone together for a delicious Dip Day as part of our team culture calendar!

From crowd-favourite classics to creative homemade recipes, the spread was filled with plenty of tasty options to enjoy. More importantly, it gave us an opportunity to connect, share a few laughs, and spend time together outside of our day-to-day routines.

A big thank you to our Dental Hygiene Team for planning such a fun event. It's moments like these that help make our workplace culture so special! ✨

Meet Sheila, RDA & Administrator! ✨

I graduated from NAIT in 2012 with a certification in Dental Assisting. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in dentistry—I loved going to the orthodontist as a child! I have a lot of experience in direct patient care and have transitioned to administrative work, where I enjoy helping both patients and the dental team!

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy relaxing with a good documentary, spending time with my plants - I have a bit of a green thumb, as well as staying active by walking or biking through the river valley.

I’m a big animal lover and share my home with my three cats—Lelia, Andrei, and Apollo—and three lizards—Hades, Anubis, and Lucy.

Throughout our WWF Regenerate Canada campaign, we donated $10 for every new patient who visited our clinic. Thanks to the support of our incredible community, we raised $230, and through matching contributions, that amount was doubled to a total donation of $460 for wildlife conservation and environmental protection.

Thank you to everyone who chose us and helped make a difference. Together, every appointment became an opportunity to give back and support a healthier future for our planet. 🌿

Our recent Wellness Retreat was a meaningful opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and recharge together outside of the clinic. From a restorative yoga session, to olive oil tasting at Evoolution, to dinner shared together at Glasshouse Café, the day was centered around balance, connection, and intentional well-being.

Meet Dr. Paul Fraughton!

Dr. Paul Fraughton is a graduate of the University of Alberta. He began his dental career with the Canadian Armed Forces in 1991. Almost 30 years ago, Paul and his wife Corinne decided to settle in Fort Saskatchewan as a great place to live, raise a family, and work. Paul has worked at the Urban Centre Dental Clinic since coming to the Fort and continues to do so on a part-time basis. He enjoys working with many wonderful patients and the outstanding team at Urban Centre Dental. Paul enjoys spending leisure time with his family, the many trails in the Fort, camping and the beach.

Meet Dr. Tania Doblanko!

Dr. Tania Doblanko graduated from the University of Alberta with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2015. Following graduation, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency Program and has been with Urban Centre Dental since 2016! Dr. Doblanko enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and loves working with people of all ages. Her, and her husband, Lauren, are parents to Marie and Gabrielle. As a family, watching Disney movies, reading Robert Munsch books, dancing to folk music, and snacking on popcorn are some favourite pastimes.
