A little bit about Dr. Petten:
Dr. Daniel Petten was born in Newfoundland and moved to Fort McMurray with his family before his first birthday. Having been raised in Fort McMurray for 29 years, he is proud to call Fort McMurray home.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Petten spent three years in British Columbia playing junior hockey before pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Throughout his education and training, Dr. Petten maintained a strong desire to return home and serve, a goal that remained central throughout his journey. He values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with his patients and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Petten enjoys staying active, following hockey, spending time with family and friends, and continuing to pursue professional growth through ongoing education. He recently welcomed a baby girl and is excited to raise his small family in Fort McMurray, the community he is proud to call home.
Dr. Petten is excited to be at home serving the community that raised him. 🦷
