Dr. Patricia Irving's Retirement Announcement:

Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

After 42 years of working in the Riverbend Community it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing that I will be retiring Jan 1, 2026. I feel very lucky to have worked in a community where I have met so many fantastic people and families.

Thank you all for your confidence, loyalty and trust.

I will really miss everyone.

I look forward to spending time with my family which now includes a beautiful granddaughter. Golfing, pickleball and staying active are in my future. If you see me in the community, please say HELLO!

I am leaving you in good hands with Dr. Alexis Desrosiers and Dr. Donald Simonar and the terrific staff at Brookview Dental.

Dr. Alexis Desrosiers spent the past two days at an Invisalign continuing education course in Calgary. Brookview Dental has been offering Invisalign since 2008 and we are excited to introduce patients to our new iTero scanner which mostly replaces the need to take impressions. We offer free consults for Invisalign if you may be interested in straightening your teeth and/or fixing your bite. All three of our dentists are Invisalign certified. Brookview Dental Clinic is excited to announce that Dr. Donald Simonar is now a partner/co-owner of the clinic along with Dr. Alexis Desrosiers. Don is a 2015 University of Alberta dental school grad who grew up in Brookview and was a patient at our office as a child. He has been working part-time at Brookview Dental for the past 1.5 years but he is now working full-time at our clinic. Dr. Patricia Irving will be staying on at Brookview Dental as an associate and Dr. Allan Hone just retired. All of our current staff will be staying on to take care of our patients' dental health for a smooth transition. Looking forward to seeing all of our valued patients in 2024!

Last night Brookview Dental Clinic held our annual staff Christmas party. We were also celebrating the retirement of Dr. Allan Hone which is happening at the end of this month. Everyone had a great time, we are fortunate to have wonderful doctors and staff members!

Brookview Dental Clinic would like to announce the upcoming retirement of Dr. Allan Hone as of December 21, 2023. Dr. Don Simonar is now working at Brookview Dental four days a week and will be taking care of many of Dr. Hone’s patients going forward. Dr. Alexis Desrosiers and Dr. Patty Irving will also continue to take care of the dental needs of our patients as usual. Brookview Dental is pleased to announce that Dr. Don Simonar will be working full-time at our office (4 days per week) starting on Monday, October 30th. Dr. Simonar will be working Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He has been working at our office since April 2022 part-time. This past Friday Dr. Desrosiers, Dr. Irving and Dr. Simonar attended a full day hands on continuing education course to learn how to do Bioclear composite restorations. These restorations are heated injection molded composite, ideal for closing “dark triangles” between teeth and doing white fillings on front and back teeth. They are excited to incorporate this technique into use at Brookview Dental!
