Agree 100% . Lots of grinding these days!

When I reopened my dental practice in early June, the tooth fractures started coming in: at least one a day, every single day that I’ve been in the office.

Exactly! Totally out of context . No incidence of transmission through dental offices. We are good at infection control and dental health is linked to systemic health!

When the World Health Organization in early August advised people to postpone routine dental work during the pandemic, Pittsburgh oral surgeon Dr. Eric Smiga was livid. “I was shocked, quite frankly. I thought it was a sad commentary from the WHO without any scientific basis,” Smiga said. “The...

So we are excited to announce that we have been given our directives enabling us to open starting soon. On the 19th we will be organizing our return and trying to triage through the patients requiring immediate care. Things will look a little different, as we implement our new rules around social distancing and less contact. We ask that you be patient as we reschedule and attend to your needs. As always, feel free to leave a message or text and we will respond as quickly as possible. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Update to last post. We will remain closed but will continue to check messages and care for emergencies and issues of urgency. Please leave us a message and we will return your call as promptly as possible. Hygiene will be cancelled until further notice and we expect it will be at least until April 15. My staff and I thank you for understanding in this time of crisis.

Due to the ongoing changes in the Covid19 situation we will be cancelling all non essential services when we re-open on Monday, March 23. This means all hygiene and elective procedures but we will remain available to serve you for emergencies and urgent situations. We ask that you call and let us know by message on voicemail or text your specific issue so we can adequately respond and set aside the appropriate time as indicated.

Update.
As per college guidelines and recent events we will remain closed until March 22 when we will reassess situation.
We will be checking messages so if you have a dental emergency please leave a message and we will get back to you.

During this time of uncertainty due to COVID 19 we will remain open to serve your dental needs. We take your health very seriously and want to reassure you that we have always followed strict sterilization protocols outlined by the CDC (center for disease control). We have the very latest in sterilization equipment and all items that contact you are either sterilized or if they cannot be sterilized they are disposed of after treatment and a new one replaces it. Everything else in the office that is touched is wiped down with disinfectants proven to be effective against coronavirus.
Any patients and staff are asked to stay home if they have travelled internationally in the past 14 days or have symptoms of a cold, cough or fever. We want to ensure this is a safe environment for all while still being able to accommodate your needs.

Losing a first tooth is something of a rite of passage for kids everywhere. It’s a sign that you’re growing up and getting bigger! And if you’re like a lot of families, it also means a little cash under your pillow in the morning from the “tooth fairy.” If you grew up to have kids...

We are proud to say that we have been using light therapy in this way for many years now.
The Thor laser and now the Genova handpiece of the Fotona both have this capability.

Light therapy is now included in guidelines for oral mucositis that develops during cancer treatment. It offers an alternative to mouthwashes and is associated with healing.
