Tomorrow I start a new journey. I have been the sole admin for SSI’s FB page but I wanted to say thank you to each everyone of you at Scotia Surgery before I hand the reigns over. Our new normal.... last week we reopened our doors for elective surgeries (please contact your surgeon’s office.... we do not book surgeries)
As always your safety is our #1 priority. Due to Covid-19 we have implemented additional precautions to keep you and your family safe.
1. You will receive a call the day before your surgery from our Surgical Services Manager and you are required to answer a health questionnaire relevant to Covid-19 and you will be given instructions about your arrival the day of your surgery
2. Come at your scheduled time the day of your surgery (this is not your surgery time but your arrival time) Remain in your car and call our receptionist Shannon at 902-405-3174 Ext 223 and she will give you instructions when to come in
3. You will meet Shannon at her desk, she will give you a mask, ask you to sanitize your hands, review your Covid-19 questionnaire again and take your temperature.
4. You will be asked to be seated in our newly designed waiting room. Chairs have been set 6 feet apart. There are no magazines or newspapers available. Other features include a new plexiglass guard at Shannon’s desk and staff wearing masks. These are worn to keep you and our staff safe and healthy.
5. Looking forward to seeing our patients again.
