Tomorrow, September 30, our doors will be closed as we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. 🧡

This day originated from the story of Phyllis Webstad, a six-year-old girl whose new orange shirt was taken away on her first day of residential school in 1973. Today, the orange shirt serves as a visual symbol to remember that every child matters and that cultural identity should be protected and celebrated.

We encourage everyone to take a moment tomorrow to learn more about this history.

🦷 CDCP FAQ: Does my coverage automatically renew?

If you’ve been approved for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), remember that your coverage needs to be renewed each year.

📅 Renew on time: Your coverage can continue without interruption into the next benefit year.

⏰ Missed the renewal deadline? You can re-apply, but you may have a gap in coverage while your new application is being processed. Dental care received during that gap won’t be covered or reimbursed retroactively.

Your CDCP benefit year runs from July 1 – June 30.

💙 A good reminder to check your CDCP status before your next appointment and make sure your information is up to date.
