That’s a wrap for Dr. Kevin Shen’s final IV sedation certification sessions.

Over the past three days, our team successfully treated 23 patients. We are incredibly grateful to the patients and friends who volunteered their time to make these training sessions possible, we couldn't have done it without you.

A huge thank you also goes out to our amazing CDAs and supporting staff—Kyla, Madison, Crystal, Heather, Sherri, and Tracy—who put in extra work over the weekend. Your hard work did not go unnoticed.

We want to extend our gratitude to Dr. Trevor Shew, who traveled all the way from Vancouver to provide valuable insights and monitor the process, and to Dr. Jordan Enns from Symmetry Dental for generously lending us a monitor equipment.

Our busy weekend was fueled by fantastic local food, so thank you to That’s a Wrap, Family Thai Restaurant, and East Side Mario's for catering our lunches.

Once the final approvals are through, we look forward to officially offering IV sedation options to our community!

FREE IV Sedation session

We are seeking volunteers for Dr. Shen’s final IV Sedation Certification sessions.

Dates: May 29th – May 31st
Location: Baker Hill Dental, 100 9th Ave South, Cranbrook
The Perks:
1. $0 Sedation Fees: The cost of IV sedation is completely waived.
2. Complimentary Preventative Care: If you don't currently require major dental work, you would receive a FREE cleaning or minor cosmetic updates (like replacing old fillings).
3. Major Work: If you have pending dental work, you only pay for the procedure—the sedation is on us.
4. Bonus: Every volunteer receives a voucher for a FREE IV sedation session for future use.

Requirements:
1. Must be between ages 16–74.
2. Must pass a brief health screening.
3. Must have a designated driver to take you home.
4. Available for a scheduled block during the dates above.

Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
