AKWESASNE DENTAL CLINIC TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS ORAL HYGIENE APPOINTMENTS
The Akwesasne Dental Clinic is informing the community that all oral hygiene appointments (cleanings) are paused temporarily due to low staffing. They sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your patience and understanding is truly appreciated.
The dental clinic will remain open for all dental treatment appointments. Dr. Ryan will be available for dental emergencies, as well as regular scheduled appointments. Specialty services will also continue accordingly.
The Akwesasne Dental Clinic has provided the following tips to assist their clients in maintaining their oral health at home:
🪥 Brush Twice a Day: Make sure to brush your teeth for at least two (2) minutes, twice a day, using a fluoride toothpaste.
🦷 Floss Daily: Flossing helps remove plaque and food particles from between your teeth and under the gumline.
🫧 Use Mouthwash: An antimicrobial mouthwash can help reduce plaque and prevent gum disease.
💧 Stay Hydrated: Drinking water helps wash away food particles and bacteria.
🥦 Healthy Diet: Limit sugary snacks and drinks, and eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
Once the hygiene program resumes, the Akwesasne Dental Clinic will notify the community. If you have any specific concerns, or need advice on a particular dental issue, feel free to contact the office at 613-575-2341 ext. 3208, or via email at [email protected].
