Swallowing a dental crown can sound scary, but in most cases itโ€™s not dangerous.
The crown usually moves through the digestive system and leaves the body naturally within a few days.

The real concern is if the crown went into the airway instead of the stomach.
If there is coughing, trouble breathing, or choking, seek medical attention immediately.

If the crown was only swallowed, stay calm but act quickly and call your dentist.
The tooth underneath is now exposed and can become sensitive, painful, or infected if not protected soon.

If the crown is found later and still in one piece, your dentist may be able to clean it and reuse it.

Never try to glue it back yourself.

Crowns are usually made of porcelain, gold, or zirconia, and these materials rarely cause harm inside the body.

However, an X-ray may be needed if the crown doesnโ€™t pass or if pain, discomfort, or breathing issues appear.

When a tooth goes missing and isnโ€™t replaced, the mouth slowly begins to adapt in ways that can create long-term problems.

The teeth beside the gap tend to lean or drift, and the tooth opposite it often grows further out of its socket in search of contact.

Over time, this can throw off your bite and lead to alignment issues.

The bone beneath the empty space also starts to shrink because it no longer receives the natural stimulation that a tooth root provides.

This gradual bone loss can affect facial support, change your appearance, and make future treatment more complicated or less predictable.

As the surrounding teeth shift, new spaces and tight corners are created perfect spots for food particles and bacteria to collect.

This increases the risk of decay, gum inflammation, and infection, often without obvious early symptoms.

Replacing a missing tooth promptly isnโ€™t only about aesthetics. It protects jawbone health, keeps your bite stable, and preserves natural oral function. Todayโ€™s restorative options including implants, bridges, and dentures offer strong, functional solutions to prevent the cascade of issues that follow tooth loss.

Every personโ€™s tongue has its own unique pattern.
Those tiny bumps and lines on the tongue are different for every human, just like fingerprints.

No two tongues look the same.
They cannot be copied or matched, even by accident.

Itโ€™s like having a built-in ID inside the mouth that stays with us from birth.
