This patient came to us looking for options to improve his smile. After assessing his teeth and overall bite, Dr. Magalhaes developed a comprehensive treatment plan to restore his smile, improve his bite, and address the extensive wear.

Due to significant wear, this patient had lost considerable tooth structure and bite height. Dr. Magalhaes was able to open his bite and restore the worn teeth using layered zirconia crowns. As part of his treatment, she placed a series of implants along the upper arch to replace teeth that could no longer be maintained, providing a stable and long-term solution for tooth replacement.

For the lower arch, the existing teeth were restored with composite resin.

By combining implants, crowns, and conservative restorations, we were able to open his bite, restore function, and create a beautiful, natural-looking smile that he can enjoy for years to come.

This patient presented with a deep overbite along with significant upper and lower crowding. Using customized LightForce mechanics, Dr. Magalhaes was able to align the teeth and successfully improve the deep bite, creating a healthier, more functional bite and smile.

One of the advantages of combining orthodontic treatment with restorative dentistry is the ability to choose more conservative treatment options. By moving the teeth into ideal positions first, we were able to restore this patient's chipped teeth with composite bonding to enhance aesthetics and function, avoiding the need for more invasive treatment options such as crowns.

This patient came to us with a Class I molar relationship, severe crowding in both the upper and lower arches, and a deep bite. With careful treatment planning and the precision of LightForce custom 3D printed braces, we were able to achieve an incredible smile transformation.

LightForce brackets are custom designed for each individual tooth and tailored to the patient's unique treatment plan. This allows for highly accurate tooth movement and efficient treatment. By combining this technology with the extraction of premolars to create the space needed, we were able to resolve the severe crowding, correct the deep bite, and create a healthy, balanced smile.

A special thank you to Dr. Magalhaes for her thoughtful treatment planning, orthodontic expertise, and attention to detail throughout the case. By combining advanced technology with a personalized approach to care, she was able to deliver a result that not only improved function and oral health, but also gave this patient a smile they truly love.

Our office will be closed on May 7th and May 8th while our team attends the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) Conference. Continuing education is important to us, and this event allows our team to stay current with the latest advancements in dental care, technology, and patient experience.

We will reopen on Monday, May 11th and resume regular business hours.

With over 20 years of experience in dental care and IPAC, she brings a depth of knowledge along with fresh ideas to the Erie Street Dental team. Melissa is known for building strong relationships with patients and creating a professional and comfortable environment that supports overall health and well being.

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family. She thrives in the energy of a full household that includes five cats, three dogs, and even an adopted donkey!
