CELEBRATING AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT
Today we celebrate PAULA BROWN! After 35 years, including an incredible 23 years at our office, PAULA is officially retiring from her career as a dental assistant.
It is hard to put into words how much she has meant to All Smiles Dental, our patients, and all of us who have had the privilege of working beside her. She is not only an amazing dental assistant, but an even more amazing person – kind, hardworking, compassionate, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand or share a laugh.
And somehow, while building an incredible career in dentistry, she has also found the time to serve our community as Mayor of Cardston! Talk about dedication!
Outside of work and serving our community, she is also an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Her love and dedication to her family are just another part of what makes her such an incredible person.
Congratulations Paula on your amazing career and a lifetime of making a difference. We are so lucky to have called you our coworker and friend.
Here’s to the next chapter and all the wonderful things ahead!

So excited to have an orthodontic specialist available in Cardston. Less trips to Lethbridge makes life better😁

We are thrilled to be welcoming Dr. Michael French, a certified orthodontic specialist, to the All Smiles Dental team.

Dr. French and his wife Shantel were both born and raised here in Cardston. After graduating from BYU, Mike went to Indiana University for both dental school and orthodontic residency. Since then, he has practised orthodontics in Calgary for the last 20 years. Now they are moving back to Cardston, and he will be working here in our office.

His expertise in orthodontics will be a valuable addition to our team. We are confident that his skills will enhance the care we provide to our patients.

Appointments are available starting in September. Call us at 403-653-4121 to book a consult.

We have received several inquiries regarding the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Initially, the Alberta Dental Association (ADA) asked Alberta dentists not to participate in the program because there were too many unknowns and risks for providers and patients. Our office decided to unite with most other dentists in the province and support the ADA with the hope there would be resolution of the concerns by July. Thank you for your patience, it has been frustrating for both patients and providers.

On June 25, 2024, Premiere Danielle Smith announced that Alberta will not be participating in the federal CDCP program and in a letter to the Prime Minister and requested the federal government would direct funds to help make the Alberta plan more robust. We hope this will be the case but there have been no promises.

In the meantime, many of our patients benefit from the Alberta Dental Assistance for Seniors program (DASP) and can anticipate continued coverage. If you have any questions regarding benefits or treatment plans, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.

We have had many inquiries regarding the Canadian Dental Care Plan initiated by the federal government this year. The Alberta Dental Association (ADA) asked all Alberta dentists not to register as a provider under this plan until concerns were resolved. Our office decided to support the ADA in this request as did most other Alberta dentists. We hoped the issues would be worked out by July, but on June 25, 2024, Premiere Danielle Smith announced that Alberta is opting out of the federal plan with the hope the federal government will redirect the funds to support the programs Alberta already has in place.
Many of our patients have the Alberta Dental Assistance for Seniors plan (DASP) and can continue to benefit from this plan. Please call our office if you have any questions regarding the DASP and we will be happy to assist you.
