Toothbrush tips and trivia
Did you know that toothbrush bristles used to be made from boar, horse or badger hair? Ouch!

Dental products have come a long way since then. Toothbrushes with nylon bristles were finally introduced in 1938.

Taking care of your toothbrush is critical for your oral health. It’s one of the most important tools in preventing dental and gum issues. Here are a few handy toothbrush tips:

1 - Store it upright to keep bacteria away.

2 - Don’t use a cap on your toothbrush, except while travelling. Caps can trap moisture and cause bacteria to grow.

3 - Soft-bristled toothbrushes are best. Hard bristles can cause painful brushing or even erode tooth enamel at the gum line.

4 - Make sure to brush for at least 2-3 minutes to keep those pearly whites looking their best.

🎃Happy Halloween Trick or teeth👻 🧛‍♂️
Cavities beware! 🦷🪥

To help your family have a fang-tastic Halloween, we put together a few tips to keep your teeth healthy while enjoying some sweet treats:🍬

1) Set some limits. Try to enjoy in moderation and only eat a few treats after a snack or meal.

2) Choose your treats wisely. Sticky candy can get stuck in the grooves of your teeth. Hard candy takes a long time to dissolve and could break or pull out your fillings.

3) After indulging in some Halloween goodies, drink some water and brush your teeth.

4) Schedule a check-up and cleaning to make sure your teeth are in tip-top shape.

5) Maintain healthy oral habits all year long. Your teeth will be better prepared for days like Halloween.

And don't forget: To trick or treat safely, stay 6 feet away from people who aren't in your family or cohort.

Have a happy and healthy Halloween! 🎃
