Think switching to sugar-free cola protects your teeth? Not quite!

While sugar-free colas don't feed the bacteria that cause cavities like regular soda does, they still contain acids that can wear away your tooth enamel. Once enamel is lost, it doesn't grow back.

The truth:
✅ Less sugar = lower cavity risk
❌ Acid = continued risk of enamel erosion

To help protect your smile:
💧 Choose water whenever possible.
🥤 If you do enjoy a cola, drink it with a meal instead of sipping throughout the day.
🪥 Wait at least 30 minutes before brushing to avoid damaging softened enamel.
