She’s a familiar face at the clinic and someone you may already recognize — she’s been part of the Heritage Dental Centre family for over 30 years! Evelyn is an essential part of our day-to-day, keeping everything running smoothly with her coordination, organization, and behind-the-scenes support.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her outdoors, camping in her RV and spending quality time with her daughter, Kaitlin. 🏕️

Meet Vanessa 👋🦷 Our amazing Sterilization Tech - and one of the people working behind the scenes to help keep every appointment running safely and smoothly. 🤍

You might not always see everything Vanessa is doing, but her role is SO important:

✨ Keeping instruments clean + sterilized
She helps make sure instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized and ready for each patient.

🦷 **Helping keep our clinical spaces running smoothly**
From preparing instruments to keeping everything organized, she helps our dental team stay on track throughout the day.

🧼 Supporting infection prevention
Sterilization is such an important part of maintaining a clean and safe environment for both our patients and our team.

🤍 Basically… we couldn’t do what we do without her!

And when Vanessa isn’t keeping everything running behind the scenes, you’ll probably find her crocheting 🧶 - seriously, you guys should see some of the things she’s made for our team! - or spending quality time with her partner and family. 🥹

Meet Dr. Chris Jones! 👋🦷

Originally from sunny Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺, Dr. Jones graduated with honours from Griffith University in 2013, earning the Griffith Award of Academic Excellence three years in a row.

He made the move from Australia to Calgary in 2014 and has been part of the Heritage Dental Centre team ever since! His areas of focus include dental implants and cosmetic restorations, helping patients feel confident in their smiles.

When he’s not at the clinic, you’ll usually find Dr. Jones making the most of Calgary life - skiing, biking, exploring the mountains, or spending time with friends. 🏔️🚴‍♂️⛷️

🗓️ Book early once your summer schedule is confirmed.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Group family appointments together to save extra trips.
🌙 Choose evening or Saturday visits when weekdays feel too hectic.

Summer schedules can get busy fast. If camps, travel, and work shifts are making dental visits harder to plan, a little timing strategy can help.

Try these simple tips:
• Book early. As soon as camp dates, vacation weeks, or shift schedules are confirmed, choose your dental appointments before the calendar fills up.
• Stack family visits. If possible, ask about booking children and adults close together to reduce extra trips.
• Use lower-stress time slots. Evening and Saturday appointments can be easier for school-aged kids and working adults.
• Leave a buffer before travel. Try not to book routine visits the day before you leave town. A little extra time makes rescheduling or follow-up easier if needed.
• Keep your dental bag ready. Insurance details, a list of medications, and any questions you want to ask can save time at check-in.

Heritage Dental Centre is a general and family dental clinic serving children, teens, adults and seniors for over 35 years.

Our General Dentists provide preventive, emergency, restorative, tooth replacement, cosmetic, Invisalign®, children’s and sedation care with calm, respectful service and clear explanations.

Digital imaging, iTero scanning and clinician-reviewed AI-assisted image analysis support clearer discussions and treatment planning. Clinical decisions are always made by a dentist.

Emergency appointments are welcome, with same-day care when possible. Evening and Saturday appointments, direct billing, free on-site parking and multilingual support help make care easier to access.

You’re not alone! Sydney is one of the first friendly faces you’ll meet at Heritage Dental Centre, and these are some of the questions she gets asked the most.

❓ Do you direct bill to insurance?
Yes! We direct bill most insurance providers to make your visit as convenient as possible.

❓ Can you check if my insurance covers a treatment before I book?
Absolutely. For many treatments, especially major procedures, we can submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so you’ll have a better idea of your coverage before treatment begins.

❓ Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
Yes, we do!

❓ What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
The CDCP is a federal program that helps eligible Canadians access dental care by covering a portion of the cost of certain dental services. If you’re unsure whether you qualify or what your plan covers, we’re happy to help.

❓ Will my insurance cover my entire appointment?
Every plan is different. Coverage depends on your individual benefits, deductibles, annual maximums, and the treatment you’re receiving.
