🫖 So what’s the tea… do you really need to floss every day?

🦷 We say yes!! Plaque can build up pretty quickly between your teeth, which over time can lead to bleeding gums, inflammation, bad breath and cavities.

😉 Flossing once a day helps keep that buildup under control, but if you miss a day, we won’t hold it against you.

🧵 Morning or night, the best time to floss is whenever you’ll actually remember to do it!

🇨🇦 Did you know there are only a handful of dental schools across Canada, and just one right here in Alberta?!

🦷 Getting into dentistry takes years of education, training and dedication before earning that “Dr.” before your name.

👀 Did you ever think about becoming a dentist growing up, or know someone who’s currently working toward it?

🤔 Ever wonder why all your teeth look different?

🧡 That’s because they each have their own job! From biting into your favourite foods to grinding them up, every tooth has a role to play.

🦷 Incisors bite and cut, canines grip and tear, premolars crush and grind, and molars do the heavy duty chewing!

😎 Pretty cool how they all work together, right?!

👀 32 isn’t always the limit!

🦷 Some people develop extra teeth, known as supernumerary teeth. They can show up in different areas of the mouth and sometimes stay hidden beneath the gums.

🩻 It’s just one more reason regular dental exams and X-rays can be so helpful. You never know what might be going on below the surface!
